The Academy is looking to help employers get the right people for their business
NSA understands the importance of getting the right people in your workplace with qualifications to support your on-going contract needs. Please take a few minutes to read this information as it just might be the right answer for your business.
NSA Senior Instructor, Tommy Macdonald said, “Having worked for many years in the energy industry I would encourage any employer to come and see the training we deliver within the academy. Our training is unique and meets industry and employer requirements to provide “work ready” people for your business. Employers can even try some of our students within their workplace for 8 weeks at no cost if they wish prior to either taking them on, without obligation.
Come and visit us, or let us come to you to discuss?
As an employer, we invite you to drop in so you can see our trainees at work, see our facilities and meet our instructors. We would hope that you could maybe see trainees, who along with excellent instructor references, may catch your eye as potential employees. If a visit is difficult for you, just give us a quick call and we will come out and talk this through with you to gain a better understanding of your business and how we can maybe help get the right qualified people for you.
Obviously, as a potential employer you might wish to try out any candidates that may interest you, and to this end when trainees have successfully passed their initial 16 week course with us where they have gained their SVQ, level 2 in performing engineering operations and their NC level 5 in fabrication and welding, you may be able to secure their services on an 8 week, full time work placement where you don’t have to pay any wages, and can use the period as a trial to see if your trainee works out for your company. Also, if for example, you require further training for your trainee, possibly welding coding/s, then this can be arranged free of charge by NSA.
If you take the decision to recruit the trainee as an employed apprentice then all they need to do to complete their apprenticeship is to progress a level 3 SVQ at their place of work (no off the job time is required). The apprenticeship is also fully funded!
